Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Pinch of sugar (optional, balances acidity)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Sauté garlic until fragrant—don’t burn it, unless you like that bitter bite.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil.
  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
