Quick & Easy Spicy Tuna Recipe for Dinner

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks (6 oz each), fresh or thawed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp  sesame oil (optional)
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha, adjust to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the tuna: Pat tuna steaks dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger. Adjust spice to taste.
  • Sear the tuna: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tuna 1–2 minutes per side for rare, 3–4 minutes per side for medium.
  • Add the sauce: Pour the spicy sauce over the tuna in the last 30 seconds of cooking to coat evenly.
  • Serve: Plate tuna, drizzle extra sauce on top, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with rice, salad, or steamed vegetables.
